The following abbrevieations below are used in each of the source lists.

Status Occurrence
R = Resident (Green) A = Abundant
BM = Breeding Migrant (Blue) VC = Very Common
NBM = Non-breeding migrant (Yellow) LC = Locally Common
V = Vagrant (Pink / Red Dots) C = Common
  U = Uncommon
  R = Rare

 

Endemic
E = wholly endemic species.
Er = species with range largely confined to Southern Africa.
Es = endemic sub-species which is potentially a full species.
Ebr = species with breeding range wholly confined to Southern Africa.
