Accommodation

Duikerbult self catering farm house is a fully furnished, serviced private farm house on the privately owned game farm Duikerbult near Rustenburg with beautiful views of the Magaliesburg Mountain range.

The farm house consists of 4 spacious bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, ceiling fans in bedrooms, a kitchen, lounge, braai area and bar with pool table and darts.

One bedroom has a queen size bed with en-suite bathroom and 3 bedrooms each have a double bed, sharing the other bathroom. Each room has a different view of the surrounding farm.

Accommodation and bar/ braai area is cleaned daily and dishes washed twice a day. Wood for one braai a day is included and will be provided.

Accommodation costs R2400 per night for the whole farm house and bar/braai area. If more than two nights are booked at a time, the price is R2000 per night for the farm house and bar/braai area.

Facilities available to self catering guests

Game drives

Game drives on an open 1978 Land Cruiser by a professional guide. Please book with Thaba Phuti Safari Lodge’s reception. Game drives will be charged at R150 per person. There is no self-drive option currently available.

Horse riding

Horse riding for 3 experienced riders, due to the rocky terrain. Please book with Thaba Phuti Safari Lodge’s reception. Horse riding will be charged at R250 per person.

Bird Watching

We have a huge variety of birds on the farm and you can use our bird lists to mark all the birds you see during your visit.

Self-guided walks

You are welcome to do self-guided walks on the farm, but all walks are on your own risk and it is recommended that you use a GPS system to guide your walk, as the farm is more than 1000 hectares in a very rocky terrain.

Picnics

Self provided picnics in the veld are great, enjoying nature at its best at your own leisure. Bring your own picnic basket or book a picnic with Thaba Phuti Safari Lodge’s reception. Please book timeously.

Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner at Thaba Phuti Safari Lodge

Thaba Phuti is the 5 star Safari Lodge on the farm and you are welcome to make use of the facilities at the Lodge. Please make sure that you book any breakfasts, lunch or dinner at the Lodge timeously, as this will ensure that you are not disappointed if they are fully booked. (Booking breakfast, lunch or dinner at time of reservation of the accommodation is be preferred).
