Whether it be mountain climbing or a stroll in the surrounding bushveld, Thaba Phuti has the sporting facilities available that can satisfy the fancies of any individual.

With the objective of keeping each and every one of our guests happy and entertained at all times, Thaba Phuti specifically makes this great variety of sporting activities available for our guests to take part in during a visit to our five star lodge.

Be it on a competitive level or just for the fun of it, Thaba Phuti proves to be the ideal place for trying out your existing sporting skills or to make an attempt at a sporting activity which you have never tried your hand at before. Either way, with the outstanding variety of outdoor sporting activities available for the entertainment of our visitors, you can be sure that as a guest of Thaba Phuti you will have the time of your life!

To list just a few of the sporting activities on offer to guests of the Thaba Phuti safari lodge:

• Clay pigeon shooting is quite a noisy, but competitive affair and is enjoyed out of hearing distance from the lodge.
• Silhouette shooting is for the perfectionist showing his skill, or for the beginner who wants to learn the art of aiming and shooting exact.
• Black powder gun target shooting reminds of the colonial times gone by.
• Freshwater Fishing (summer months). Bass, Carp and Kurper are caught frequently in our well-stocked dams. Fishing gear and bait will be provided.
• Canopy tours are available which are sub-contracted off site through Magaliesberg Canopy Tours.
